The 2011 Forte is changing the face of Kia and setting new benchmarks for compact sedans in Canada and around the world. Forte's styling is sporty and confident, its performance is crisp and invigorating, and it comes with standard features that no other car in its price range can match. That shouldn't be surprising from an automaker like Kia who is continually striving to drive change. After all, that's our forte.

 Overview
The 2011 Kia Forte is a fresh take on the compact sedan. It captures your eye with its dynamic road presence and the sweep of its bold lines. So much excitement. So many exceptional features. All in a car so affordable. That's always been Kia's forte. And it's all yours with Forte.

Forte comes with a choice of attractive wheel designs, including these 17" alloy wheels that are standard on the Forte SX.





Kia's bold design direction can be seen in features and details like Forte's uniquely styled, wrap-around headlights.





Integrated turn signals in the side mirrors alert adjacent drivers to your turning or lane-change intentions. They're standard on Forte EX and SX models.




A power tilt and sliding sunroof lets you enjoy the pleasures of open-air driving. It's standard on Forte SX and available as an option the Forte EX.





 Interior
Forte raises the bar for comfort, roominess and convenience in a compact sedan. Power windows, power door locks, heated side mirrors, heated side mirrors and hands-free Bluetooth® cell phone connectivity* are standard on every model. And if you crave more, Forte is available with some surprising extras - like leather seats, automatic climate control and alloy sport pedals.

Convenient driver's door switches let you control Forte's standard power conveniences - including the door locks, heated side mirrors and side windows - with the touch of a button.




Heated front seats take the chill out of winter driving. They're standard on Forte EX and SX




Standard automatic climate control provides year-round, set-and-forget comfort on the Forte SX. Manual air conditioning is standard on EX and available on LX models.




A tilt and telescopic steering wheel lets you position the wheel precisely where you want it. This control-enhancing comfort feature is standard on Forte EX and SX models.




  Performance
Whether you spend your time on the open road or in the stop-and-go of city driving, you have a friend in Forte. Meticulously engineered chassis and suspension systems work in harmony, blending dynamic handling and ride comfort. Under the hood, Forte offers a choice of two four-cylinder engines with up to 173 horsepower for exuberant performance.

Dynamic handling makes Forte a joy to drive. Forte SX models add to the fun with standard sport-tuned suspension to keep their road-gripping 17" tires firmly planted.





Both available Forte engines feature Kia's performance-enhancing, Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) technology.





Move the shifter into the left-hand +/- gate and tap into the performance and control of manual upshifts and downshifts with Forte's available 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.




Forte's wedge-shaped body allows it to cut through the wind, reducing its co-efficient of drag (Cd) and enhancing overall fuel economy.





  Safety
Safety comes naturally to the Kia Forte. It's equipped with the standard protection of six airbags, complemented by the sure-footed stopping power of four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes and a rigid body structure that helps channel crash energy away from you and your passengers.

Forte's standard safety protection includes dual front and side airbags, plus full-length side curtain airbags to enhance the safety of driver and passenger-side occupants in the event of a side impact or rollover.




Forte's powerful four-wheel disc brakes are augmented with a standard anti-locking braking system to help you maintain control in hard-braking situations and on slippery pavement.




The driver and front-passenger seats on all Forte models feature anti-whiplash active headrests that move forward and upward in the first milliseconds of a crash to help reduce neck injuries.




Electronic stability control automatically adjusts brake pressure at the appropriate wheel or wheels and regulates engine torque to help you stay on your path. It's standard on all Forte models.
