The 2011 Forte Koup brings the shape and design cues of the groundbreaking Koup concept to life in Canada's newest and most exciting compact sport coupe. With a low wedge-like profile and bold styling, it turns heads faster than any law should allow. You'll find the Forte Koup is packed with performance, comfort and convenience features that you probably thought you'd have to pay extra for.

  
Overview
The 2011 Forte Koup is the next evolution of Kia's design language, spoken in an unmistakable performance dialect. With its sleek, toned body riding low to the ground, Kia's first two-door coupe doesn't just arrive on the scene, it commands it. Discover how much fun it can be to let your car do the talking in the all-new Forte Koup.

A power tilt and sliding sunroof offers the added exhilaration of open-air driving. What better way to enjoy a beautiful day? It's standard on Forte Koup SX and optional on EX models.




Forte Koup SX models feature standard 17" alloy wheels with all-season tires. Together, they look great and deliver great road-holding grip.




Kia's new, trademark signature grille presents a modern face to the world, complemented by an aggressive front air dam that's exclusive to the Forte Koup.




A new Kia design language is apparent in features like the Forte Koup's uniquely styled, wrap-around taillights and the fine quality of its fit and finish.





  
Interior
The Forte Koup gives you more standard comfort and convenience features than any other car in its class. Power windows and door locks, power heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, heated front seats, a six-speaker audio system, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. All standard on each Forte Koup model. Why settle for less when Kia gives you more?

The Forte Koup SX features a smooth-shifting 6-speed manual transmission with a leather-wrapped shift knob as standard equipment. A 6-speed Steptronic automatic with manual-shift mode is also available.



Standard auxiliary and USB ports let you link your iPod® or other digital music player directly to the Forte Koup's audio system for clear, interference-free playback. 




Hands-free Bluetooth® connectivity* is standard on the Forte Koup. Its voice-activation function lets you make and receive cell phone calls without taking your hands off the wheel.




Forte Koup SX models wrap you in the comfort of standard leather seating. Heated front seats add to that comfort, and they're standard on all Koup models.




  
Performance
The Forte Koup snaps to attention when you take to the road. It rides and corners with confidence and composure, accelerates into open space with ease, and feels great doing it. The SX trim really comes alive with a standard sport-tuned suspension and 173-horsepower, 4-cylinder engine with dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) technology to let you command the road.

Dual chrome exhaust tips provide a sharp performance accent to the Forte Koup. This is a view of the Koup that other drivers can expect to see a lot. 




Both available Forte Koup engines feature Kia's performance-enhancing, Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) technology.
Move the shifter into the right-hand +/- gate and tap into the performance and control of manual upshifts and downshifts with the Forte Koup's available 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.




Dynamic handling makes Forte a joy to drive. Forte Koup SX models add to the fun with standard sport-tuned suspension to keep their road-gripping 17" tires firmly planted.





  
Safety
Safety comes naturally to the Forte Koup. It's equipped with the standard protection of six airbags, complemented by the sure-footed stopping power of four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes and a rigid body structure that helps channel crash energy away from you and your passengers.

Standard safety protection on Forte Koup includes dual front and side airbags, plus full-length side curtain airbags to enhance the safety of driver- and passenger-side occupants in the event of a side impact or rollover.



The driver and front-passenger seats on all Forte Koup models feature anti-whiplash active headrests that move forward and upward in the first milliseconds of a crash to help reduce neck injuries.




Electronic stability control automatically adjusts brake pressure at the appropriate wheel or wheels and regulates engine torque to help you stay on your path. It's standard on all Forte Koup models.




Forte Koup is equipped with powerful four-wheel-disc brakes and a standard anti-locking braking system to help you maintain control in hard-braking situations and on slippery pavement.
